Cash for Small Charities to attend Party Conferences
NCVO will pay for seven places for smaller charities at each of the three major party political conferences this autumn. Charities with turnovers of less than £500,000 a year can apply.
The closing date for applications is 5 June 2009.
NCVO is asking members to apply for the chance to have passes and accommodation paid for at the Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrat conferences, which take place in September and October.
Each selected organisation will get a two-day pass to one of the party conferences, one night's accommodation and paid travel.
The NCVO will also organise a programme of meetings at the conferences for the winners, including a round-table discussion with senior MPs or ministers.
To qualify for the scheme, which has been expanded since last year, an organisation should have a turnover of less than £500,000, be a registered charity and an NCVO member.
