Apprenticeship Consultations
Third Sector has been a running a consultation within a tailored framework for apprentices working in third sector organisations and it has now closed. Thank you to everyone who took part in telling them what apprentices should know and learn. In the end they had just over 200 people telling them what they think through ther:
· Online survey
· Two focus groups of people who work in and manage charities and social enterprises
· A focus group of young people who are potential third sector apprentices
· A focus group of volunteers
There were lively discussions and some thought-provoking messages. They are now analysing all the findings of the consultation and will publish a report in June. The report will directly inform the development of the apprenticeships framework that will set out what an apprentice who wants to learn the ropes in a charity or social enterprise should learn during their apprenticeship.
Third Sector are writing the framework in collaboration with an apprenticeship reference group that includes employers, representative organisations and others. They will continue to work collaboratively with the reference group and other key stakeholders to make sure that the framework is practical and something that charities and social enterprises will want to use. Your interest in apprenticeships has been, and will continue to be, central to that.
