Community Learning Clubs
Community Learning Clubs come to Taunton
ViSTA have received some funding from Lloyds TSB Foundation to run Community Learning Clubs in Priorswood and Halcon areas of Taunton.
So what does this mean?
We will be working with people who live in Halcon or Priorswood, who would like to be involved in setting up or expanding activities in their communities.
Many people have an interest or a passion for something and would like to share their knowledge, or sometimes people within the community can see a need which is not being met. We will work with members of the communities of Priorswood and Halcon to enable them to run learning clubs. As an added bonus, there are well researched health benefits in getting involved in learning, particularly in the community.
There are Christmas workshops set up already on 30th November, 7th and 14th December. Volunteers will be making cards and willow wreaths and stars.
