New Workplace Learning Coaches for Somerset
Twelve people from a range of Voluntary and Community Sector organizations in Somerset recently received their Think Smart Business Coaching Level 3 ABC Award at a presentation at the offices of the Voluntary Sector Training Alliance (ViSTA ) in Langport. There were also achievements in coaching award for St Margaret’s Hospice and Compass Disability.
This was a great achievement for the learners and means that twelve new workplace learning coaches will be able to use their coaching skills to support staff on accredited learning programmes.
Sara Iles, Deputy Chief Executive of ViSTA said:
‘Course participants said that it provided them with a great opportunity to reflect on how they support people in learning and think about the kind of things that contribute to developing a learning & development culture in their organisations.’
John Bennett, Chief Executive from BIBIC, one of those presented with the award, said:
“Despite tough times in the voluntary and community sector, we still need to show we care about training and how we can help our staff achieve their full potential!”
